Getting Here

Parker Estate sits just outside the historic town of Penola, 40 minutes from Mount Gambier and within easy reach of Adelaide, Melbourne and the South East. Coonawarra’s wide skies and quiet vineyard roads make the trip part of the occasion, not just the way there.

Mount Gambier — 40 minutes

Adelaide — approx. 3.5 hours

Melbourne — approx. 4.5 hours

The Spaces

Parker Estate would love to host your next event; however big or small our venue and team can cater to every need. Flexibility and service is at the core of what we do. Our newly renovated multi-space cellar door is available for partial and full venue hire.

The Stillage

Parker Estate’s signature event space, The Stillage returns the estate’s historic barrel hall to its former glory. Locally hewn limestone walls, soaring ironbark ceilings, and a warm, textured ambience make it the ideal canvas for a wedding reception; formal or relaxed, intimate or lavish.

Fully climate controlled, The Stillage is equally beautiful in winter and summer.

Capacity: Up to 145 seated / 200 cocktail style

Best for: Wedding receptions, sit-down dinners, cocktail receptions

Also your wet-weather reception space: fully enclosed and climate controlled, so the day goes ahead beautifully whatever the forecast

The Tasting Room

Light, open, and warmly appointed, the Tasting Room features floor-to-ceiling windows that look out across the lawns and vines. A wood fire makes it especially inviting on cooler evenings, and the well-stocked bar is on hand all year round.

A beautiful setting for more intimate receptions and post-ceremony celebrations.

Capacity: Up to 45 seated / 80 cocktail style

Best for: Intimate receptions, rehearsal dinners, pre-ceremony drinks

The Lawns

The east-facing Bailey Lawn and north-facing Pepper Tree Lawn wrap around the cellar door and look out directly over the Abbey vineyard. Both offer a peaceful, picture-perfect setting for outdoor ceremonies, with vines stretching across the horizon.

The Lawns are available as part of a full venue hire alongside the Tasting Room.

Capacity: Up to 200 for an outdoor ceremony

Best for: Outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hour, vineyard photo settings

Please note: The Lawns do not provide a weatherproof solution and are most suited to spring and autumn events. Should the weather turn, your ceremony can move into The Stillage.

We know the great photo locations, we know how to get you all from A to B and we can source anything you need to ensure your day is equal parts fine dining, picture perfect moments and relaxed loving energy handled with precision and unshakable calm.

Can we bring our own caterer?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own caterer for your wedding/event at Parker Estate. We also have a curated list of catering partners we can recommend, please get in touch for the latest options.

Is there a preferred vendor list?

Yes! We have a preferred vendor list featuring a selection of trusted local suppliers to help make planning your day a little easier. We’re happy to share the list with you and can also provide recommendations based on what you’re looking for.

What’s the noise curfew / end time for events?

Our event licence runs until midnight, so all events must conclude by 12:00am.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the front and rear of cellar door. Electric vehicle charging is also available on site. For those arriving via chartered bus, mini bus, or alternative means of travel, we have parking and turn around space to accommodate all vehicles.

Can we do our ceremony and reception both at Parker Estate?

Yes, and we welcome it! Hosting both events with us allows Emma to do what she does best, and ensure the entire day runs smoothly from start to finish. Alternatively, if you wish to host just the reception or ceremony at Parker Estate, we have spaces to hire to suit every size or occasion.

Do you have accomodation?

There is currently no accomodation on site at Parker Estate, however, we have an extensive list of recommended hosts/accomodation providers in and around Penola.
